Join us for a networking happy hour and talk featuring Luana Génot, Executive Director of ID_BR and Ingrid Silva, Founder of EmpowHer NY.

About the speakers:


Luana Génot is the Executive Director and Consultant in Ethnic-Racial Relations and Business at ID_BR, a non-profit dedicated to promoting racial equality in Brazil’s workforce. Educator, researcher and author of the book Racial Equality, she has a Master’s Degree in Ethnic-Racial Relations from CEFET-RJ and a postgraduate degree in Marketing and Communications from IED-Rio. She has worked in marketing at multinational corporations, and is a co-leader of the Brazilian Women’s Group for Racial Equality Committee - Rio and also a BMW Responsible Leaders fellow.

Ingrid Silva is a professional ballerina with the Dance Theatre of Harlem and founder of EmpowHer New York (@empowher_ny), a collaborative platform to share stories and give a voice to real women. The idea was to create a safe environment for all women to discuss their experiences, difficulties, and achievements without judgment, while always encouraging sorority and dialogue. Silva was the first African Brazilian to be on the cover of Pointe Magazine (June/July Issue 2017). As a cultural ambassador for the U.S State Dept., Silva has performed and provided community outreach around the world.
